Spring in Berlin

We often hear about in Berlin recently. Why is Berlin concentrates the European arts scene, is in Berlin that is experienced and this pushes artists, curators and enthusiasts to come here to see what actually moves in this city.

strange place Berlin. So tied to its recent history, of which you never lose track and at the same time so deeply rooted in the present, so vital to stun me.

E 'a city young. Much of the population is under 35 years and consists of or aspiring artists, web designers, graphic artists, performers and any other "profession" the imagination can suggest. It is said that in Europe the city with the highest rate of youth unemployment. Which is probably true, but the feeling is that the unemployed are happy. Of course, the aid which the German state provides to those who have a job and help a lot. But it must be said that one third the cost of living than any other major European city and you can easily live on less than € 1000 per month without giving up anything. These days it is not little. The future is very uncertain and far away, why bother when you can enjoy the present?

It 'difficult to describe the relaxed atmosphere that reigns here and at the same time, the great energy this city exudes. It 'hard to keep up with all events, openings, exhibitions, festivals, many of which are totally free, that every day invade the city's cultural scene. Galleries chic Mitte underground spaces made in the basements of abandoned buildings or former brewery turned into cultural centers ex, you see pretty much everything.

This weekend, one through May 3, there is the Gallery Weekend Berlin , 38 tunnels that run for 38 openings in various areas of city, with collective personnel, installations and performances to inaugurate the opening of the spring art season in Berlin.
